Resiliency in Leadership and a Healthy School Environment
Health Matters is a weekly radio show sponsored by the Medicine Center Pharmacy on WHBC 1480 AM in Canton, Ohio. This episode pharmacists Brad White and Paul White discuss Resiliency in Leadership and a Healthy School Environment with Margaret DeLillo-Storey, Resiliency Consultant with the Stark County Educational Service Center and Perry Local Schools Mental Health Counselor and Christine Haymond, Retired Educator and Resiliency Consultant with Stark County Educational Service Center.
The worldwide pandemic along with the accompanying changes in society has been a source of unexpected stress and adversity for many people. During this stressful time, many of us have relied on resiliency to help us get through and overcome hardship. But resilience is not something we are born with. It is as unique as our genetic makeup which is why we all respond to stress and life’s problems differently.
This morning we will talk with Margaret and Christine and learn how we can strengthen our resilience, how we can build resilience to plan for future times of crisis, and how we can support our children and grandchildren to nurture resiliency.
Learn the answers to these questions and more in this program:
Each of us manages our stress and anxiety in different ways. How do we recognize and accept that one family member’s way of coping may be completely different than our method of coping?
With everything and everyone functioning so differently as we continue to find our way through Covid, how do we maintain connections and support well-being?
What do educators, parents or grandparents need to know or do that promotes moving forward and fosters growth?
What can we do to support educators in order for them to continue to support and educate the children within our community?
