  • What monkeypox is and what the risk is to the general public?

  • What are the symptoms of MonkeyPox and how easily transmittable is it?

  • What is important to know so that we can help friends, neighbors, or relatives who may be in this situation?

  • What should we do to keep our school-age population safe?

  • Getting both a covid vaccine and a flu vaccine at the same time?

Public health professionals try to prevent problems from happening or recurring through implementing educational programs, recommending policies, administering services, and conducting research—in contrast to clinical professionals like doctors and nurses, who focus primarily on treating individuals after they become sick or injured. Public health also works to limit health disparities.

A large part of public health is promoting health care equity, quality, and accessibility. James M. Adams and the staff of Canton City Board of Health deserve our thanks and appreciation for all they do to keep us and our community healthy.
